Russian presidential aide calls for reducing taxes
BOLSHOI KAMEN, Primorsky Region, Sep 1 (PRIME) -- Russia should always aim to reduce taxes, presidential aide Andrei Belousov told reporters Thursday.
“I think that it is always necessary only to reduce taxes,” he said.
On Wednesday, business daily Vedomosti reported that the Finance Ministry plans to collect additional 2.5 trillion rubles in 2017–2019 to finance a budget deficit, including through raising taxes. All key taxes, including the corporate profit tax, the value added tax (VAT) and the personal income tax, as well as contributions to pension, social and compulsory medical insurance funds are offered to be raised by 1 percentage point, which will increase budget revenues by 170–134 billion rubles.
